Tommy Haas could stay away from the tennis court for a long time, as he has been sidelined after undergoing hip operation.
Tommy had been operated on last Friday in Vail, Colorado and could miss the tennis court for six months. He said on his website:
"I had to have the operation now. The pain was simply too great."
His agent Lars Schriewer said: "Tommy has been operated upon by the best medical doctor in this field (Dr Marc J Philippon).
"He is in the best of hands. Everything else remains to be seen."
Currently, world number 18, Tommy Haas reached the semi-finals of the 2009 Wimbledon. He also shot up in the rankings and made it to number two in 2002, but since then his career has hit low due to injuries.
