Newly engaged couple Maria Sharapova and Los Angeles Laker Sasha Vujacic were looking lovey in Los Angeles, CA on Saturday as they walk hand in hand while out for lunch. Sharapova could be seen wearing a rather large engagement ring while out and about with her future husband.

Elena Dementieva wins Sydney title

After beating Elena Vesnina a week ago in Auckland and wining the opening WTA event on the 2009 calendar, Elena Dementieva defeated one more fellow Russian, this thime Dinara Safina 6-2, 2-6, 6-1 in Sydney final to claim her second title in 2009!!

"This is great, to have all this pressure after winning two titles," noted Dementieva. "Coming to [Melbourne] with the pressure, I love it, I really do."

Dementieva has never won a Grand Slam title, losing twice in finals at the French Open and U.S. Open in 2004. She's never been past the fourth round in 10 previous trips to the Australian Open. Maybe this time she'll finaly win it!

Congrats Elena and good luck in Melbourne!!
