Tommy and Andy, just leave the man alone and play your game!

Posted by Lana On 9/04/2008 03:05:00 PM

Tommy Robredo accused Novak Djokovic of exaggerating the seriousness of his injuries to get some extra rest during their draining five-set tussle in the fourth round of the U.S. Open on Tuesday.

"I have pain, as well. I was running like hell and my feet were burning but I say nothing," said Robredo, who tumbled to the ground in the fifth set while lunging after a Djokovic shot."

"I think that if you're not fit enough, then don't play."

"But after every time he was asking for a trainer, he was running like hell and he was making the shot. But he does what he does a lot of times."

Oh, come on Tommy, give me a break!! Nole was just better then you that day, why can't you be the man and admit it??

You were jumping all over the court after every point, I was wondering what the he.. was going on with you!! Like you were playing in the final. What was you thinking?

And what did Nole do? Just played his game and asked for medical time out, something every player have rights to do! Why do you think he was faking? Maybe it's easier for you to think this way....Nobody like to lose from an injured player...
What would the result be if Nole was 100% healthy?? Think about that Tommy...

And Andy...oh Andy, Andy a tones of stupid thing came out of your mouth yesterday! Still can't belive what I read!

When Roddick was asked Tuesday night about the ailments and injury timeouts that characterized Djokovic's victory over Tommy Robredo, he turned bitterly sarcastic.

"What is it, a back and a hip?" he said. "And a cramp. Bird flu. Anthrax. SARS. Common cough and cold."

"Do you think he's bluffing?" someone asked.

"No, there's just a lot," Roddick said. "He's either quick to call a trainer or he's the most courageous guy of all time."

Djokovic, meanwhile, skipped his practice session Wednesday and opted for rest at his hotel, but his spokesperson said that Djokovic will wait until he steps onto the court to respond.

"Novak speaks on-court and has no comment on this today," said Benito Perez-Barbadillo. "The only thing to say is that it will be a difficult match against a great player like Roddick. Novak will try his best as usual."

Nole, I really hope you'll kick Andy's ass today!!!

  1. Anonymous Said,

I feel bad for Nole after they all jump down his throat for the stupidest things. Novak was actually hurt when he rolled his ankle and calls the trainer but Roddick doesn't get any grief when he tried calling the trainer in that match against Del Potro, trying to break his momentum. It's so hypocritical when they all play their own mind games out there.

    Stay strong Novak!

  2. Lana Said,

I agree with you and I'm so happy Novak beat Andy yesterday!!
