Newly engaged couple Maria Sharapova and Los Angeles Laker Sasha Vujacic were looking lovey in Los Angeles, CA on Saturday as they walk hand in hand while out for lunch. Sharapova could be seen wearing a rather large engagement ring while out and about with her future husband.

Jelena Jankovic, second seed for the women's singles, was in no mood to suffer the same kind of embarrassment as the eliminated Maria Sharapova and the reprieved Ana Ivanovic in negotiating awkward second-round tasks.

Jankovic needed just 57 minutes to get past her Spanish opponent Carla Suarez Navarro, running out a 6-1 6-3 winner out on Court Two.

"The first set I was playing quite well, and the second set I had a long game which I should have won. At 3‑1, I think I had 40‑15 and I let that game go. But other than that, it was fine," - said Jelena.

"The conditions were quite tough today. It was very windy. But I did quite well, and I'm happy to win the match in two sets."

"I didn't really think about the other players. I don't want to get involved, you know, how they are doing. I just really focus on myself and how I have to play,"

Jelena will next face Denmark's Caroline Wozniacki who beat Canada's Aleksandra Wozniak 6-1, 6-1.
