Francesca Schiavone defeated Roberta Vinci 6-1 6-1 in just 59 minutes to win Barcelona Ladies Open.
"I felt good today. I played at a very high level and I was having fun playing," Schiavone said. "Roberta had some problems with her ankle so it wasn't easy for her. It just wasn't her day. For me, this is good preparation for Fed Cup and upcoming tournaments on clay, like Stuttgart and Rome."
This was third career title for Schiavone. She won Bad Gastein in 2007 and at Moscow last fall.
In the doubles final, Roberta Vinci and Sara Errani defeated Timea Bacsinszky and Tathiana Garbin 61 36 102. This was their second title, they also won in Marbella last week. Errani now has four Tour doubles titles, Vinci now has five Tour doubles titles.
