Shame on you Serbia!!!

Posted by Lana On 4/24/2010 05:09:00 PM

I really can't believe that only 3 000 people came to support Serbian FED Cup team in Belgrade Arena which have capacity of 25 000 seats!!

Jelena Jankovic came to play with the left wrist injury although that might cause her more trouble with the recovery. Isn't that the reason to come and support her?? Serbian people were always so full of pride on their tennis stars. I'm wondering where are those people right now?? These girls are playing for their country, for Serbia. They did all they could to come to Belgrade on time so they could be ready for the tie against Slovakia. Unfortunately, I think nobody really appreciate it.

SHAME ON YOU BELGRADE. SHAME ON YOU SERBIA.

And congrats to JJ who won her match against Magdalena Rybarikova 7-6, 6-3 despite her injury!

  1. Anonymous Said,

in defense to Serbia: Belgrade arena capacity is 20,000 , but for this fed cup, only the lower part was sold, which is around 8,000. also, serbian tennis asociation has pretty much given up on this match in terms of promotion and marketing. only the real die-hard fans even knew that this match is going on... still a shame there weren't more people...

  2. Lana Said,

I'm Serbian and I love tennis, that's why I'm angry because of this. I think those girls deserves more support. Especially because Arena was full during Davis Cup tie between Serbia and USA.

  3. Anonymous Said,

I'm an Italian fans but I really like JJ and I think here in Italy she would have more supporters! Kisses
