Sania Mirza married Shoaib Malik in Hyderabad

After many speculations about their relationship, his previous marriage and wedding date, finally Sania Mirza married Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik on Monday around 1:00 p.m. at the Taj Krishna hotel in Hyderabad by the Muslim religious customs. The nikah was performed in the presence of the closest family members.

According to Sania's relatives, it was very simple ceremony. She wore a red embroidered sari from her mother's wedding trousseau 25 years ago. The groom, accompanied by relatives from Pakistan, wore a long black tunic.

"The nikah (marriage) has been completed, it has just got over. Please pray for the couple," Rucha Naik, a spokeswoman for Mirza, told reporters waiting outside the hotel.

The couple will settle in Dubai.
