Tamarine Tanasugarn defeated Yanina Wickmayer 6-3, 7-5 to become the first player to defend the Ordina Open women's title.
The unseeded Tanasugarn successfully defended her 2008 title, winning her fifth career title in seven finals on a grass court surface. She had beaten world No. 1 and top-seeded Dinara Safina in Friday's semifinals.
"It was a tough match. Yanina did a good job running me around. I'm happy I held on to win," Tanasugarn said. "Last year it was a great experience to win here and I'm so proud I could do it again. I love playing here."
For Wickmayer, 19, this was her third career final (1-2).
