J. JANKOVIC/P. Cetkovska
6‑2, 6‑3
Q. Are you happy with your game today?
JELENA JANKOVIC: You know, I thought that I started quite well today, especially in the first set. I was controlling points and, you know, was finishing a lot of the points at the net, as well. I thought that I did quite good.
Then I had to stop because of the rain. It's not really easy to come back. I felt a little bit slow after the rain delay when I came back on court again. But, you know, I managed to finish the job in two sets, so I'm happy, you know, to get through.
Q. These past months, you have been struggling a bit with your confidence. Do you think that now you're on the good way to your best?
JELENA JANKOVIC: I think I'm improving every match. I'm trying to improve my game, trying to getin my top form, and, you know, make these little baby steps forward. This is my goal for this moment, and especially for this tournament.
I just want to go one match at a time and try my best, give my maximum every match, every point. And I will see how everything will go for me.
Q. How would you rank your serve today? I know that you've been in a lot of trouble with your serve, first percentage, or maybe trying to find the good one. Do you think there are problems with your serve?
JELENA JANKOVIC: No. Today the serve was all right. I didn't go for too much. And especially the conditions were quite heavy, because especially due to the rain. The balls are much heavier on the court, as well.
So, you know, I just tried to have high percentage, begin my, you know, the points in a good way for me so that I can get, you know, the first try.
Q. You mentioned the rain delay. There might be a new stadium with a roof built in about five years'time. Do you think that's a good idea?
JELENA JANKOVIC: It's always a good idea to have a roof sothen we can continue the match so that we don't have to stop and wait around, you know, for an hour or more and then come back on court, because it's not soeasy, you know, to stop the match and then ‑‑ especially being in theareas over there when you have to eat lunch.
It's so crowded. It's so many people. It's tough to focus and, you know, to have, you know, a relaxing time before you go on court again.
