After losing her first matches of the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells and the Sony Ericsson Open in Miami in straight sets to unseeded players, Jelena Jankovic finally finds her game and defeated Francesca Schiavone 6-2 6-1 in the first round of Andalucia Tennis Experience in Marbella.

JJ, who is the second seed for the tournament, needed just 62 minutes to see off her Italian opponent, braking her opponent five times.

"I felt very good after my first match," she said. "I played well despite the wind, I was focused on my game and I am leaving tonight very satisfied."

Jelena will next face Tunisian Selima Sfar, who defeated Estrella Cabeza Candela of Spain 6-3 7-6 (7-4).
