Federer accepts wildcard for Monte Carlo

Roger Federer had said that his only clay tuneups for Roland Garros would be the Rome and Madrid Masters, but he changed his mind and decided to accept wildcard and play next week in Monte Carlo. Here is the statement from his website:

"Dear Fans

I have decided to accept a wildcard into the Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters tournament that begins on Monday. I will head there this weekend to start the clay court season.
