Well this is the first joke I fell to! Apparently, this news is an April Fools joke!! The page on Badzine doesn't even exist anymore! Well done guys!

"According to Badzine, Ana Ivanovic has been urged by her sponsor to try her hand at badminton and is expected to play in some mid-level tournaments this spring! Ana and Yonex hope that Badminton World Federation (BWF) will gave her a wild card entry for this summer's World Championships in Hyderabad, India.

Noah Djokingic, vice-president for Yonex Serbia, said that he first got the idea when he noticed that the wind was playing havoc with the star player's toss and disrupting her serve.

"I no sooner said to myself 'that would never happen in a badminton hall' than the lights went on and an idea was born," Noah told Badzine.

If it's up to Ana's 1.86cm and being comfort with a racquet, I guess she'll be good in badminton as well as in tennis!

Ita Notoruwa, the spokesperson for Yonex, said the company had sent Ana several of their Arc Saber racquets to try out but that they hadn't come to an agreement on whether they would be providing her with badminton apparel for her first tournament appearance, which is expected to come later this spring."
