Why am I not surprised?

Posted by Lana On 1/25/2009 12:12:00 PM

I was really sad when I woke up and heard that JJ lost, but to be honest it's not a big surprise for me. JJ didn't show that good game she played at the end of the year. She was struggling through the matches although she won in straight sets.
And today I would just like to know what happened on that court!
JJ was defeated by Marion Bartoli 6-1, 6-4!! OMG JJ what is that?

This is what JJ said after the match:

"I haven't played for a while. For two months I didn't compete.

"I was supposed to play an exhibition in Hong Kong. Unfortunately, me and my mother, we got sick, so it was very hard where I couldn't play some matches over there, which I wanted, just to feel the atmosphere, get the rhythm on the court.

"I'm this kind of a player who needs a little bit of time to get used to it, to get the routine playing matches and get the confidence.

"Then I feel that I can do whatever I want on the court. At the moment I'm still not there.

"I'm still finding my range, to get that confidence when I'm playing. Today I just couldn't find it."

Oh JJ, why didn't you came to Australia earlier so you could prepare? So many wrong moves and this is what comes after that.

Congrats to Marion. In the next round she'll be playing against Russian Vera Zvonareva.
