Caroline Wozniacki defeated Kaia Kanepi 6-2, 3-6, 6-1 to win the $175,000 Japan Open Tennis Championships.
"I feel amazing. I just won another tournament. It's been an incredible year. This is my first title here in Japan and I'm very happy," said Wozniacki.
"I think I improved a lot last year and I think I improved pretty much everything".
Caroline, who won her first two WTA tournaments at Stockholm and New Haven in August, picked up a third title and earned the winner's check of 8,250 dollars.
The 23-year-old Kanepi was trying for her first career title.
"It was a good match. I definitely had my chances in the second set and I hit a lot of good winners, but she's very aggressive and if you don't keep up with her, she will win," said Kanepi.
"I have been here without a coach for the last few weeks. I've been working to figure out who I am on the court by myself, and how I'm playing. I'm very happy with the result, that I made it to the final on my own."
