Novak Djokovic defeated Tomas Berdych 7-5 6-1 in just under 90 minutes to reach Bangkok final.
Novak said that after a first set lasting nearly an hour, something snapped as he finally found his game.
"It felt like I woke up from a dream in that second set, I was suddenly really sleepy the last two days. "After my slow start, everything went well."
Novak will aim for his fourth title of 2008 and 11th overall in his 16th career final. He stands 58-13 this season.
Novak will meet in final second seed Jo-Wilfried Tsonga who beat fourth seed Gael Monfils 6-0 6-3.
The showdown, second meeting between the pair, will be a repeat of the Australian Open final won last January by Novak Djokovic in four sets.
"It's great to meet Jo again after that final. It will be very interesting to play him," said Djokovic.
"It's our second match and our second in a final - anything can happen," added the top seed.
"I don't see myself as a big favourite, Jo has been playing fantastic tennis, serving and moving well. He's very motivated."
This was only Tsonga's second tournament since undergoing knee surgery in May and he was surprised by his form.
"I played unbelievable tennis today," Tsonga said. "For this tournament I didn't expect this. I didn't move so well but I hit the ball really hard."
Asked about the clash with Djokovic, Tsonga said: "It will be a different match and different conditions, but it will be my chance to take my revenge."
