Juan Martin del Potro claimed a third consecutive title with a 6-1 7-6 (6/2) victory over world number nine Andy Roddick at the Countrywide Classic in Los Angeles on Sunday.
"I played a very good week and today I played unbelievable," Del Potro said.
"I don't think Roddick was 100 per cent, but I played unbelievable to win. I beat (Tommy) Robredo last year, but to beat Roddick in the United States, I think is the best win of my career."
"The first plan was to try to return his serve," Del Potro said. "He started to serve I think very slowly, and I did very good returns. I broke very early in the first set and after that I start to play my game. I don't give him any chance to break my serve. I play unbelievable."
Just over a month ago, Argentina's Juan Martin del Potro had never won an ATP event and then he won last month in Stuttgart, followed that triumph with another the following weekend in Kitzbuhel which bring his ATP ranking to 24.
