Top-seeded Fernando Verdasco rallied to down fourth-seeded Russian Igor Andreev and win the Croatia Open title on Sunday.
Verdasco struggled in the first set, but battled back to take his second ATP singles title in three sets, 3-6, 6-4, 7-6 (7-4). The match lasted 2 hours and 50 minutes.
It's the second ATP title for the Spaniard - adding to his victory in Valencia in 2004 - and came on his on his first trip to Umag.
Ranked as high as 13th earlier this month and currently 15th, Verdasco now has 31 wins this season and has reached at least the semi-final in three of his last four main draw appearances.
Verdasco now travels to Canada for the Toronto Masters on US Open style hard-courts.
For that event he is seeded and opens with a match against Thomaz Bellucci.
