Eighth-seeded Sara Errani finished an impressive run by upending fourth-seeded Anabel Medina Garrigues in straight sets 6-3, 6-3 to win the $145,000 Banka Koper Slovenia Open.
It's her second title in three weeks.
Errani won her first career WTA Tour event at Palermo at the beginning of July. She has won 10 matches in a row.
"I haven't changed anything this year," Errani said. "I just try to practise hard every day, and the results are starting to come. At the beginning of the year I was just hoping to make it to the Olympic team and I did make it, which I'm really excited about."
The Italian had beaten top-seeded Maria Kirilenko quarterfinals and third-seeded Caroline Wozniacki in the semifinals.
