Second seeds Daniel Nestor of Canada and Serbian Nenad Zimonjic captured their second ATP title of the year after defeating fifth-seeded Brazilian duo Marcelo Melo and Andre Sa 6-4, 7-6(3) in The Artois Championships doubles final on Sunday. The match lasted one hour and 18 minutes.

“I feel pretty good. It’s a great transition from the clay to pick up a great-court title,” said Nestor. “For me it’s two years in a row and third time overall. We’re confident going into Wimbledon, I think we’ll be second seeds, and anytime you’re the opposite side of the Bryans it’s a nice thing. What a difference a month makes, before that we were struggling a little bit. Now we have reached four straight finals with two titles. Unfortunately we didn’t get the big one in Paris, but we’ll have a good chance at Wimbledon.”

Added Zimonjic: “We haven’t started the year great, but we’ve maintained a good level the last few tournaments. It’s definitely been a good run and we’ll be full of confidence at Wimbledon, where we’ll be playing the best of five set matches.”


At the Gerry Weber Open in Halle, the Russian-German tandem of Mikhail Youzhny and Mischa Zverev captured their first team title with 3-6, 6-4, 10-3 victory over No. 4 seeds Lukas Dlouhy and Leander Paes.

“It's always a good tournament and it was a good week for us,” said Youzhny. “Sometimes when you win the title you get a little bit lucky. We like to play together.”
