The $175,000 Sunfeast Open WTA tennis tournament has been shifted to Mumbai from Kolkata, according to a release from the organiser, Globosport.
The tournament will be hosted outdoors for the first time in four years, at the CCI, from October 6 to 12.
“Due to a clash with the Durga Puja festival in Kolkata this year, a change in venue was inevitable. Mumbai is the ideal replacement,” said ten-time Grand Slam champion and the managing director of Globosport, Mahesh Bhupathi. — Special Correspondent
