Andy Roddick’s best tennis memory may have come in Queens when he lifted the 2003 US Open trophy in Flushing Meadows, but is he trading Brooklyn (his new fiancée) for Manhattan? Not exactly.
The 25-year-old had a big week in Miami, announcing his engagement to model Brooklyn Decker, 20, and finally notching a win over nemesis Roger Federer in the quarterfinals of the Sony Ericsson Open.
And the New York Observer now reports that the Nebraska-born, Florida-raised Roddick has purchased some digs in the Big Apple.
The quaint condo, located at East 22nd Street near Gramercy Park, according to the Observer, was on the market for $1.195 million. The space is not as grand as his Texas digs, offering only one bathroom, a “dining gallery” as opposed to a dining room, and one living area....more
