Ana was voted the best looking athlete on the planet as she rocketed in at No.23 on the annual FHM Magazine’s 100 Sexiest Women in the World poll. As well as beating all other sportswomen, the 20-year-old finished ahead of the likes of Charlize Theron, Natalie Portman and Salma Hayek.

Almost nine million votes were cast in the world’s most popular countdown of its kind. Two other tennis players made the list: Anna Kournikova finished 81st, while Maria Sharapova was 30th.

Actress/model Megan Fox topped the poll with last year's winner Jessica Alba second.

Other notable celebrities whom Ana eclipsed include Cameron Diaz, Eva Mendes, Jessica Simpson and Heidi Klum.

Earlier this year Ana was named the best looking tennis player ever, male or female, by The Age newspaper in Australia, and she has won the tennisreporters.net fans’ poll for the sexiest female player for the last three years.
